Where AI saves time without touching client data
Half the team is afraid to touch AI. The other half pastes everything into it. The first half is losing time, the second is losing control. There is a middle way, and it starts with the work that never needed client data in the first place.
The short answer: start with tasks where the client's identity doesn't matter. Drafting from your own bullet points, rewording, summarising public texts, preparing templates, planning. Keep names and files out, check what comes back, and your team learns to use AI where it helps, without client data going anywhere.

What's in it for me?
- Drafts
Letters, emails and notes written from your own bullet points, which you then correct and send.
- Summaries
Public texts made short: a new ordinance, a long public report, a supplier's terms and conditions.
- No client data
Every task in this guide works without client names or files, so none of them reaches an AI provider.
The checklist
0 of 8 checked
Tasks that follow a pattern and need no client file: follow-up emails, agendas, job ads, internal notes.
Give the AI your own bullet points, not a copy of a client's email. You decide what goes in.
Write [client], [amount] and [date] where the details go, and fill them in once the AI is done.
Facts, figures, dates and legal statements. AI tools write fluently, including when they are wrong.
Save them in a shared document, so the whole team gains from what one person found.
A business account under contract, with training on your data switched off, rather than whatever each person installed.
For a month, note how long a task took before and after. It shows where AI earns its place, and where it doesn't.
The moment a task needs a client file, it moves to the tools and rules your firm approved for client data. The guides for each profession cover those.

Which tasks to start with?
The kit has ten starter tasks, each with a ready prompt. Two of them:
- Turning bullet points into a polite email
- Paste your points, ask for a short email in your tone, then correct it.
- Summarising a new ordinance for the team
- Paste the public text, ask for the five points that matter to your firm, then check them against the source.
- Preparing a meeting agenda
- In the kit
- Writing a job ad

- Drafting an internal procedure

Why start without client data
When no client names, files or secrets go in, the rules on professional secrecy and on handing client data to a provider don't come into play for these tasks. That makes them the right place to learn, while the rules for client work are being set.
Fluent is not the same as right
AI tools produce confident text, including invented facts, wrong figures and laws that don't exist. Every output is a draft until a person has checked it.
When to go further
Once the team uses AI every day, the most valuable work is usually the work on client files. That's where a private AI, run in Switzerland, comes in.
